English editor-translator (freelance)

Responsibilities

• Edit and translate content from and into English.
• Work with English materials and, depending on your language pair, Italian, German, or French content.
• Coordinate with order-processing managers.
• Collaborate with editors and translators.

Requirements

• A university degree in linguistics, translation, or a related field.
• Fluent English; another foreign language is an advantage.
• At least three years of professional translation experience.
• Editing experience and previous work with a translation agency are an advantage.
• Experience with legal, technical, or medical translation is welcome.
• Knowledge of Trados, memoQ, or other CAT/TM systems is an advantage.
• Confident use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Fast and accurate typing.
