Moldovan is the official language of the Republic of Moldova. It received the status of the official language in 1989, when the decision of the appointment of the state language was adopted by the Parliament of Moldova. There are more than 2.5 million Moldovan language native speakers.

The Moldovan language belongs to the North-Danube group of the Eastern Romance languages. It has four groups of dialects, which got their names according to the territory of usage. Therefore, if you need a high-quality translation into the Moldovan language, it is better to trust it to professionals. Otherwise, discomfitures with the local population and even with the population of neighboring countries are not excluded. For many years, continuous discussions are underway around the strong similarity of the Moldovan and Romanian languages: some people call Moldovan an independent and full-fledged language, while others consider it a dialect of Romanian.

The distinction between the Moldovan and other Romance languages is one of the proofs that the Moldovan language is a full-fledged language. Till the 19th century, the Moldovan script was based on the Cyrillic alphabet, but in 1932-1939, it was substituted for the Latin alphabet, and in 1939, the writing system of Moldova began to be displayed using the Russian alphabet. After the proclamation of Moldova an independent republic, the writing system again started to be displayed by the Latin alphabet.

Nowadays, the Moldovan language is made up of words of Slavic origin by forty per cent. The letters "Э" and "Ы" of the Russian alphabet with a characteristic unique pronunciation are peculiar to the Moldovan language. It is clear that the Moldovan language is not quite easy for processing. However, the linguists of Status Ko Translation Agency have all the necessary skills.
